Chieftain
If you want a comfortable touring bike equipped with the newest technology on the motorcycle market, the Chieftain is a great place to start. Even the standard features on this bike are impressive. You’ll get anti-lock brakes and a tire pressure monitoring system. The cast aluminum frame comes with an integrated air-box. You’ll also get keyless ignition and cruising control for amazing highway performance. Optional features including mid rise handlebars which provide a comfortable arm position so you’ll always have precise control. The Blacked-out premium performance system adds a Stage 1 Slip On Exhaust as well as a Thunder Stroke High Flow Air Cleaner and Stage 2 Performance Cams. All this increases the horsepower by 13%. The Dark Horse Chieftain offers attractive blacked out components for a ghosted look you’ll never forget.
Roadmaster
The Roadmaster takes the Chieftain platform to its natural touring bike extreme. While it also features things like the cast aluminum frame with an integrated air-box and keyless start, it adds a collection of features that make touring more comfortable. The seats are upholstered in desert tan genuine leather. There’s a remote locking trunk for extra storage, and up front you’ll get heated rider and passenger seats as well as heated grips and adjustable passenger floorboards. Between the trunk and saddlebags, you’ll get 37.6 gallons of storage. Optional features include passenger seat armrest supports and a saddlebag audio kit which adds an extra 200 watts of audio. A Thunder Stroke Stage 1 exhaust comes with Six Shooter exhaust tips and lays out plenty of engine growl.
Thunder Stroke 111 Engine
The Thunder Stroke 111 engine is what gives the Roadmaster and Chieftain their amazing power and intimidating sound. The 111 cubic inches of cylinder displacement is split into a V-twin design. Each cylinder has two parallel-stem valves, and thanks to their unique design, they help to create more efficient combustion. This bike also employs a higher-than-average 9.5:1 compression ratio, which is impressive for an air-cooled engine. Altogether, this is one beefy powertrain.
Ride Command Infotainment System
The touchscreen Ride Command infotainment system that comes standard on the Roadmaster and Chieftain is packed with special features. You’ll get instantaneous and average fuel consumption, alerts for low fuel and for when it’s time for an oil change. The device syncs with your cellphone through Bluetooth and is compatible with both Android and iPhone. You can use Google Maps, or you can use the proprietary navigation software. With a seven inch touchscreen display, it’s easy to figure out where you’re going, even while wearing gloves./p>
